Biffa drivers mull strike action as pay talks break down

Arla Foods has expressed surprise after Unite said it had instigated legal proceedings in respect of the planned closure of the Hatfield Peverel dairy.

The Unite union is still pursuing claims on behalf of former employees at Grangemouth haulier Duncan Adams, which entered administration in March.

Wilko’s decision to cut sick pay for distribution and retail workers has sparked a “massive public backlash” according to the GMB union, which also warns strike action could follow.
